GetVan Survey Receives Recognition

Earlier this year we at GetVan conducted a small survey to find Britain’s favorite on-screen vehicle.  We asked over 2000 men and women which is the most iconic vehicle to have ever been caught on film.


Even though we received  quite unpredictable results, the biggest surprise for our team was the attention that our research caught. The survey was mentioned by the online editions of The Daily Star, The Independent and The Drum.


The idea for the research came in the beginning of 2013 when we were still deciding on our logo. During one of our team’s brainstorming sessions, one of our designers suggested we used a vehicle that everyone in the country would immediately recognize. We started asking ourselves

“What is the most easily recognizable vehicle according to the Brits?”



That question turned into an office discussion that would go on for days during lunch and coffee breaks.
So, as soon as we had the time and resources to make it into a reality, we asked 2 091 men and women from all over the UK what they believe is the most iconic vehicle to ever be seen on film. 


 It was interesting to see that the red Coca-Cola van was put at number 1, leaving legendary vehicles like the Batmobile and James Bond’s Aston Martin behind it.
We are very glad that the public has embraced the research and we will surely be thinking of more ways to interact in the future.
